Field Trip Committee ~ Help Wanted!!

The 2013-2014 Field Trip Committee is looking for volunteers!

Host a Lunch Bunch!!

The Field Trip Committee hosts weekly Lunch Bunch events at local playgrounds throughout the summer. Lunch Bunch is basically an open playgroup/lunch date at a local park. As host, you commit to choosing the date and location. You are then at the park from at least 11:30-12:30 with snacks and beverages (which the committee will provide). Those attending do not need to RSVP, just show up. It is also encouraged that people pack the rest their lunch. We will begin planning this summer's Lunch Bunch schedule very soon!

Plan a field trip or two!!

Have an outing you love to do with your family? Why not plan it as a field trip for the WECPTA? We are looking for a couple more members to help plan outings for next year. It's a low pressure commitment. You basically plan whatever field trips you are interested in at whatever time is convenient for you. We will begin discussing fall field trips this summer.

Who cuts your kid's hair?

Can anyone recommend a place around the area that is fabulous at cutting kids hair? I have a squirmy 2 1/2 yr old girl who needs her first haircut. I have been doing her bangs but I think I finally need to call in the big guns. She's got curly hair and I don't want to ruin it. Help?!

Babysitter/Daycare Recommendations

I am wondering if anyone has any babysitter/daycare recommendations. It would definitely be for one day a week (Mondays) for 6 hours or so while I am working from home. It may be one other day a week, depending on my work schedule. Thank you for any recommendations!

Hilliard Elementary School is selling rain barrels to raise dollars to buy seeds, plants and materials for the school garden. By purchasing a $125 rain barrel from Rain Barrels N' More in Westlake, $25 of each purchase will be donated to Hilliard Elementary School. Each rain barrel comes with a rain reserve diverter and a high flow spigot. Choose from blue, gray or terra cotta upcycled rain barrels. Sale runs March 1-May 1. Housekeeper/Nanny

Hi Everyone:

I'm looking for someone who would be interested in cleaning my house while my kids sleep and then watching them when they wake up from their naps, M-F from about 1:30 - 5:30, while I work from home. (I have been drowning in work and just can't keep up with the wash and daily cleaning of kitchen, toys, etc.!) I also wanted a backup for my regular nanny, so that when she misses work here I don't have to miss work, but I really want someone with am emphasis on cleaning as well. The pay would be $15 per hour.

Westlake Night with the Monsters

On December 29th, WECPTA will be hosting the Westlake Night with the Monsters. We have 2 Westlake-only events planned including pregame ice skating and a party on the Cleveland Cavaliers practice court. The party will include face and hair painting and games.

The Preschool program provides preschool services to children with disabilities and typically developing peers. We are currently adding names to our list of possible peers for the 2013-2014 school year. Charity Hockey Game Saturday, Nov. 17th, 1pm, Rocky River Rink

Looking for something to do Saturday afternoon? Join us for a Charity Hockey Game this Saturday, November 17th at 1 PM at Rocky River Hamilton Ice Arena. It will be in honor and support of Anthony Kashi, a peewee hockey player from Parma who is dying of inoperable brain cancer.

There will be a bake sale and donations will be collected. The money will be administered by the Firefighters' Community Credit Union in a special account called "Team Kashi". All money collected will go (1st) towards Anthony's care and treatment and then (2nd) upon Anthony's death, the balance will be transferred to St. Jude's Hospital for childhood cancer research.

There is no charge for admission. Please come and support this young man.
